    Merry Christmas!

Posted by Luca Morandi on December 23, 2007

I would like to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

It has been a busy year for me, both with school and my passion for technology. I started to send in news at PDA247 on a regular basis, and of course I started this blog. PDA Thoughts is online for about two months now, and so far it’s updated only a few times. I promise that in 2008 the site will be updated several times per week with my thoughts and news. During the first week of the new year, you can expect an editorial about virtual keyboards, a review of the iGo Ultra-Slim Bluetooth Keyboard and much more. So enjoy your holidays and stay tuned for my PDA thoughts…

Mobi Products cradle for HTC TyTN 2

Posted by Luca Morandi on December 15, 2007

I ran into this thing yesterday while browsing at WMExperts, and I was immediately impressed by it’s unique design. It lets you use your keyboard and everything else on the smartphone while charging/synchronizing! At $25 it isn’t expensive, and I think the cradle would look great on every desk (except for the odd stylus). I would certainly buy one if I owned the device…

”Are you looking for a device to hold, sync, and charge your AT&T Tilt? Mobi Products NEW USB side open USB Cradle will not only fulfill these needs but, with its sleek and stylish design, will also make a great desktop accessory! This cradle was specifically designed for the AT&T Tilt and includes a stylus and stylus holder! The USB Desktop Cradle allows you to easily synchronize and charge your device with any computer and it’s specially designed so you can access all of your AT&T Tilt features and functions while it’s in the cradle. Keep one for home and one for the office!”

    www.pdathoughts.com

Posted by Luca Morandi on December 9, 2007

My friend Shaun McGill from PDA247 has bought me www.pdathoughts.com as a gift. That’s really nice of him, don’t you think? :)

    Thanks Shaun!

Update: the new url works, so you can just use the pdathoughts.com address from now on. If you rely on your pda as your main brain like me, you will have less difficulty remembering the new address! :D

    It has touched my life

Posted by Luca Morandi on December 9, 2007

Hello mobile friends and other visitors! I get inspired a lot when I read the small stories at Palm Addicts about how people use their devices to manage their lives, so I wrote a similar piece about my average working day.

    touch.jpg

Every morning my HTC Touch wakes me up with the most annoying sound possible, because that’s the only way it will get me out of bed. I would love to say that after waking up I check my email, rss-feeds and the weather, but this isn’t the case since I don’t have a data plan yet… Dammit!

Before I go to school I update everything using Activesync on my desktop, and then I plug in my earphones to listen to some tunes while cycling, trying to catch my train. After I made it to the station safely, I sit down in the train and read some rss-feeds or articles that I store in word documents.

At school I often play games and call other students between the lessons, besides doing the regular stuff in class: entering and viewing appointments, taking notes and looking up other information. And there’s a wireless network in the building, so I might check my email and browse a bit  as well. Then it’s time to go home, while reading some more and writing this little article in the train.

As you can see, I rely on my Touch for pretty much everything during the day. Therefore, I can truly say that it has touched my life…
